Trinity United Methodist Church was organized in 1893 in Cleveland, Ohio, as Trinity Methodist Episcopal Church. The name was later changed to Trinity United Methodist Church. The collection consists of articles of incorporation, lists of regulations, correspondence, membership records, Sunday school records, fellowship class records, Sunday school superintendent's reports, deeds, insurance policy papers, a copy of a will, publications, and records of church organizations.

Trinity United Methodist Church, located on 9900 Madison Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio, originated in 1893 with the development of the West Side Mission by a group of people who saw the necessity for a house of worship in the West 96th Street area. The group held its first services in Anderson's Hall, a building located on the corner of West 96th Street and Madison Avenue. The Reverend E. C.
